Do you take a commission on orders?
No. Never. You pay one flat monthly price for your plan. There’s no per-order fee and no percentage of your sales.
What does “your own dedicated server” actually mean?
Every restaurant runs on its own private cloud server with its own database. Your orders, customers and settings aren’t stored in a shared database alongside other restaurants. Higher plans get bigger servers.
Which payment processors can I use?
Stripe, Square, Authorize.net and Helcim today, with more processors on the way. You connect your own merchant account, and you can also offer pay at pickup.
Who charges the card processing fees?
Your processor does, directly, at whatever rate you’ve negotiated with them. InnoOrder never marks up processing and never takes a cut.
Do card numbers touch InnoOrder?
Card details are entered into your processor’s own secure payment form, so card numbers go straight to your processor.
How long does setup take?
The setup wizard has 11 steps and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Every step can be skipped and finished later, and your store stays closed until you press Go live.
What hardware do I need?
A recent iPad for the POS. The kitchen display runs in a web browser, so any modern tablet or screen with a browser works. Managers can keep an eye on things from their phones.
Which languages does the kitchen display support?
17: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic (right to left), Russian, Hindi, Polish, Dutch and Turkish. Each station picks its own language. Dish names translate once you’ve added them under menu translations.
Can I use my own domain name?
Every restaurant gets yourname.innoorder.com. Growth, Pro and Enterprise can also use a custom domain.
How do text messages work?
Order and waitlist texts go out over InnoOrder’s registered 10DLC messaging. Each plan includes a monthly allowance. Waitlist texts aren’t sent between 11 PM and 8 AM. Want texts from your own dedicated number? That’s a $5/month add-on.
Can I run more than one location?
Yes. Multi-location is included on Pro and Enterprise.
Where is my data hosted, and is it backed up?
On InnoScale cloud infrastructure, with data centers in Seattle, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Amsterdam. Servers are hardened and locked down, and backups are encrypted and taken nightly.
